2 Create the new directory you wish to use as your storage site. Usually you would

choose an entirely separate volume of the local machine, specifically designed for

storage and therefore not on the same disk as the Operating System (Usually

C:\ in

Windows). A typical example for a new store might be

D:\Archive.

3 Right-click on the new directory and select P

roperties.

4 Share the folder and make sure that the group Everyone is set to have Full Control.

Checking this option will automatic

ally check all subsequent options.

5 On the web server, launch Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.

6 Select the Li

ve Smooth Streaming option on the server.

7The Archive path setting can now be changed to the new directory by entering the

path in to the Archive Settings dialogue.

You can also copy and paste the path itself from the Explorer window you opened to

create

the new shared directory, or browse to it by pressing the browse button next to

the dialogue window in.

8 Make sure you save your changes before closing the IIS Manager application.
